What temperature ranges do your electrical furnaces cover?
Up to 450°C for drying, curing, and baking. 450°C to 1200°C for most metal heat treatment work. Above 1200°C for specialised applications. Tell us what you are running and we will confirm which range fits.
The furnace stops hitting its set temperature. Parts come out inconsistently, which usually means a cold zone has developed in the chamber. There is a burning smell or visible discolouration near the element. A multimeter check confirms it — no continuity means the element needs to come out.
Usually one of three things. A failing element no longer producing its rated output. Parts loaded too close together, blocking airflow. Insulation that has cracked or thinned in spots. Check each element with a multimeter, load parts with proper spacing, and inspect the insulation for damage.
Insulation condition matters most. Damaged insulation makes the elements work harder than needed and that shows in power consumption. Beyond that, do not run the furnace hotter than the process requires. Avoid half-empty loads — the furnace uses nearly the same energy whether full or half full.
Higher wattage overloads the circuit and trips breakers or damages the controller. Lower wattage means the furnace cannot reach temperature. The replacement must match the original in type, voltage, and wattage. If you are unsure of the original spec, send us the model number and we will confirm it.
Yes. Standard build runs in air circulation. For processes where surface oxidation must be avoided, we configure the furnace with a nitrogen or inert gas system. This has to be specified before we build it. It changes the design, sealing, and safety requirements and cannot be added on easily after the fact.
